Astrology is a pagan superstition that believes the heavenly bodies influence human activity. Additionally, the theory often includes the belief that human events can be predicted by "reading" the stars.
This mythology is condemned in the Scriptures (Dt. 18:10-12; 2 Kgs. 23:5; Isa. 47:13-14; Jer. 10:2; Gal. 5:19-20).
Astrology is antagonistic to the Christian system. It encourages a fatalistic viewpoint of life and discourages the development of the noblest qualities of which man is capable.
Furthermore, it has no basis in science. A secular encyclopedia states: "Astrology, in spite of attempts to establish itself as a science, must be considered a pseudo-science and a divinatory art."
