ECCLESIASTES

What is the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible?
This profound work analyzes the avenues men commonly explore to pursue temporal happiness. Written by Solomon (1:1) likely in his advanced years, it affirms that earthly goals such as wealth, power, human wisdom, and pleasure cannot produce true contentment.

Man achieves his greatest joy only when he fulfills his purpose in life, namely, demonstrating reverence for his Maker and keeping the divine commandments.

Each person will ultimately give an account for their life choices (12:13-14).
