JUDGES, BOOK OF

The book of Judges narrates the administrations of fifteen national leaders (judges, deliverers) during that era when the land of Canaan was being settled by the Hebrew people. It covers a period of more than three hundred years -- from the death of Joshua to that of Samson. The book reveals the cycles of apostasy, punishment, and deliverance through which the nation passed during this troubling time in its history.
